Dr. Robert DeMoss D.C.

Complimentary Alternative Medicine (CAM) is the medicine of the future. As Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine used to say, "Health is the greatest of Human blessings."

The current situation within our world is that patients are no longer trusting western medical practices, due to western doctors invalidating their Hippocratic oath. Their oath was to uphold strict practices of validating specific medical procedures and letting their patients know the benefits and the possible adverse effects of certain procedures, which include experimental (EUA) vaccines and mandated masks. Both the mRNA vaccine nor masks have viable studies or experimentation that deem them safe and effective.

The future of medicine no longer involves patients just being treated for a symptom with pharmaceuticals but will evaluate the patient with standardized testing to find the cause of the ailment, to treat and alleviate the symptom. The future doctor will no longer treat the physical body but will implement the health of the entire being, which includes the physical body, the psychological mind, the emotional spirit, nutritional needs, and exercise into their patients' lives.

The recent pandemic has birthed a new era of medicine in the west. Just as in India, China, and Japan, Alternative Medical Practices address the entire emotional, psychological, and physical aspect of the human body. The human being will no longer be treated as if they are customers to a pitch by a pharmaceutical physician salesman. Hippocrates was adamant that there is a plant remedy for every ailment. Hippocrates based medicine on herbalism and not pharmaceuticals. Plant-based medicine cannot be patented, but pharmaceuticals, which include plants and other synthetic chemicals, can be. The future of medicine will no longer include pharmaceutical greed but will implement nature's healing. The future of medicine will include the Hippocratic school of thought. Hippocrates incorporated the healing power of nature, such as herbs, essential oils, diet, exercise, manipulative therapies, hydrotherapy, and spirituality, into his practice" to treat the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Hippocrates' also recommended regular aromatherapy baths and aromatic massages.

According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, the Chiropractor's approach to medicine and patient care is similar to conventional western medical practices.

Chiropractors interview their patients by obtaining a detailed health history. They perform an extensive examination, complete tests, and develop a functioning diagnosis. Chiropractors develop a support plan, start manipulative treatment, and monitor the patient's improvement.

Chiropractors treat issues related to the musculoskeletal system. They use manual treatment methods, which may include manual manipulation or the use of tools. Chiropractors can use a range of modalities, from stretching, sustained pressure, and specific joint manipulations, which are usually. "The purpose of the manipulations is to improve joint motion and function." (NCCIH, 2019), and the manipulations are commonly complete on the spine.

The brain is the powerhouse of the human body and the spinal cord, protected by the bones of the spine, is the circuit. From the spinal cord and facets within the spine, the nerves extend out to every organ and every tissue of the body. When the spine is out of alignment and the muscles tense within the human body, the electrical circuit is disrupted, the body becomes out of alignment, and the signals of the brain cannot reach the organs and tissues. Chiropractic and Massage Therapy help to align the bones of the spine, releasing muscular tension, and alleviating pressure on the nerves. A body that cannot communicate with itself via electrical impulses causes a malfunction of chemical components, which includes hormones, and may cause the body to not work properly. A body that does not work properly can lead to possible pain, tension, stress, psychological disturbances, sleep issues, and immune disorders.

A Chiropractic doctor is a licensed healthcare professional who emphasizes the human body's ability to heal itself. (NCCIH, 2019). Chiropractic doctors use manual therapy, including spinal manipulation and adjustment, and may be certified Massage therapists or have a Massage Therapist on staff. A Chiropractor is a Complimentary Alternative Medical Practitioner and may include other treatments, such as exercise, nutritional counseling, and education. Most medical insurance plans cover chiropractic visits that are medically necessary to alleviate body pain or treat an injury.

A Therapeutic Massage Therapist is a certified or licensed professional who manipulates the muscular system to help relieve pain, tension, and stress within the human body. A Massage Therapist is not allowed to manipulate the musculoskeletal system.

A Doctor of chiropractic who utilizes Massage Therapy within their practice is helping to treat both the musculoskeletal and muscular systems, which will benefit the release of tension on the spine and nerves and help increase oxygen intake to the areas of the body through increased blood circulation.
